Why do people want to make everything racist?

Example: Michael Vick = That he couldn't help but break the law because he is black. Also that because he is black he didn't understand the law.

California fires vs. Katrina = Katrina vics didn't get help because they were black. NOT True.

And there is so much more going on that is blamed on being black or any race but white. Why is this?

I've often wondered this myself. At what point does it not become a 'race' issue, and more about taking responsibility for their own actions? I have not EVER heard anyone say, "well, they're only doing this b/c I'm White (or Asian, or Mexican)". It only seems that the African-American community uses the 'race' card. Come on people... slavery ended HOW long ago??!!! I don't honestly think that anyone is still alive from that era for anyone to hold a grudge against "the white man".
