Aliens too busy with Playstation 17

I read an interesting article that proposed a reason that aliens haven't made contact with us:  they're too busy playing their version of video games, etc..  The idea is that as a civilization advances, the amount of work that must be done to survive is lessened so that eventually no one has to work at all because they're too busy having sex, playing video games, etc...
