Check if your country has "common law" legislation. If you live the married life without having got the license, there would still be a marriage of sorts in the eyes of the law.

I think people who fail life, work, school, and their family ought to fail marriage too. It makes me happy knowing that useless-IT-nerd-dickshits come home one day to find out that the girl they tricked into marrying them is going to get half of their videogame-money. Fucking losers.
