Is it possible for idiots to improve their intelligence enough to fit into the above average society or are they boned. Me and my brother had this argument and I said no, an idiot stays a idiot.

I'll tell you something. I teach disabled kids. Some will fit into "above average society" just fine, and some won't. It just depends on what neurological problem causes their idiocy.
Possible but unlikely. Had user call up to say that their mouse was not working correctly. Turns out that they had tennis elbow and so had swapped mouse to left hand. Due to using mouse with left hand they were now right clicking when they really wanted to left click.
