People go to work and come home, sleep, watch television, eat, crap, fuck, and go back to work every day. Millions of people, all over the world go through this cycle throughout their entire lives. Minor differences from country to country, no television here, no Internet there. And things change of course, a different job, a different girlfriend or boyfriend, or husband, or wife. Children are born. People try to learn new things, or realize what they want to do.
But how many human beings break out of this mold they've been cast into? How many do something really interesting in their life? How many leave fucking footprints on the world that someone else has to try and fill? How many get off a plane one day and think to themselves "damn it, this has gone far enough" and then go out and do something about it?
In any possible world inhabited by human beings, it is possible for a garbage man to become the most powerful person in that world. If he's bold, if he's smart, if he tries. But everyone has to start somewhere, and the most important word here is start.
If every last person on this planet were trying to build WMD's in their backyard, or creating their own religion, or starting their own political party, can you even begin to imagine how chaotic things would be? How fucking interesting? Out with dry professors studying ancient ruins, secure in the belief that they are important, out with politicians making bullshit promises that only children believe. We would have people making their own countries, trying to fly half-assed homemade spaceships out of the atmosphere, shit, we would have grown men playing paintball on the lawn in front of the whitehouse.
So by god, do something people will remember forever, and do it with fucking flair.
