Everything is an addiction. Games, drugs, food, activities, hobbies. If you spent too much time on something, then you have a problem.

Even if someone spends countless amounts of time outside, that doesn't mean that person's life is more meaningful than the kid who is in front of a computer. You have no idea if the kid in front of the computer is being social, learning something, or being an ass. Likewise, someone who spends his time outside could be excercising or using the environment to learn. However, someone who is outside could also be wasting his time doing absolutely nothing. Wondering aimlessly, or just peeping through windows, or maybe sitting outside and going nowhere.

I know alot of people may say that last part is an overexageration, but I can say it isn't. I remember once seeing a retired old man just walking about. I got into a conversation with him once. He walks about, because he has nothing else to do. Wasting his life away, waiting to die, doing nothing and being depressed. A shitty existence for someone who isn't addicted to games and internet and TV.

There is no such thing as living if your viewpoint is two dimensional.

Sorry for being off topic. These are just the few random thoughts that keep me from sleeping. Don't get addicted and don't think doing something of the total opposite is having a life.

At least I got out of it, thanks to a job, and now my goal is to prevent others from suffering what happened to me. Second what do you know about addiction? There are levels, what I had was far worse then an addiction, it became more of a dependency until I got a job at a camp.
