EAT MEAT!

Name: MEAT-EATING MAN 2007-09-11 20:45 ID:O+y1J1Ac

Cows and other animals such as pigs produce methane.
Plants produce oxygen.
Cows eat thousands of plants during their entire lifetime, if not slaughtered at a young age.
Among other things, plants stop corrosion because their roots hold dirt in place.
Meat contains lots of protein which is essential for humans.
Most plants are usually nutritionally insignificant.

One reason why some idiots are vegans/vegetarians is because they say that killing animals is wrong. Well, lots of animals which are eaten are slaughtered humanely and it's not like they'd live to have good, eventful lives anyway. Also, it's currently unknown whether or not plants can feel pain since there are certain parts whose functions are still unknown, and could possibly be pain recepters/nervous systems, meaning plants might be able to feel pain. If that's true, which is very plausible, then that means that vegans are far worse and cruel butchers than meat eaters.

From this information it's easy to conclude that plants are much more useful when living than when dead, and that many animals are better off being killed and eaten. Make the obvious choice and eat meat (and fruit from fruit trees, which can grow back easily)! Vegans are murderers and deserve to die!

The real argument is whether or not some commonly eaten animals are intelligent enough that we should consider it barbaric to raise them only to butcher and eat them. I am not vegan/vegetarian because I just don't care anymore, but that's the crux.

Why is killing plants better than killing animals? Hmmm? Is it because they're not cute and fuzzy? Vegans are superficial losers.

Did you miss my entire post or something? "whether or not some commonly eaten animals are intelligent enough that we should consider it barbaric to... etc" My belief is that we shouldn't care when it comes to most animals, but pigs for instance are smarter than most dogs. And no I didn't research that and am going on hearsay, so whatever. Like I said, I don't really care. Anyway, I'm pretty sure all plants have little to no intelligence, so that's why it's ok.

Its because they lack nerves and aren't capable of suffering. The issue is about relative levels of suffering you cause to other living creatures.

For example, even in harvesting wheat some animals get killed, fieldmice and a couple birds and some insects etc, but obviously this causes far less suffering than the industrialised slaughter of livestock.

Some people believe that causing suffering to other creatures is a bad thing, and would like to minimise the amount they do cause. Its not that hard to understand.

Don't change these.
