Does it matter? To me raking in enormous sums of hard cash is ordinary, but that doesn't mean there is reason to discontinue just because I consider it "ordinary".
Most of life IS ordinary. The only people living extraordinary lives all the time are the people in the movies. The idea that we're underachievers if we don't have such a life is pushed on us so that we can be marketed to. Each new widget will solve that "normal life problem".
If it really bothers you that much, just make manageable changes in your life on a regular basis as a habit. You'll be too busy keeping up with the impact of the changes to worry about if your life is ordinary and boring.
