This happened when i was in 3rd grade.
The teacher had brought in one of those books that gives the meaning of a persons name.
When we got to the only black kid in our class the teacher just kinda froze up.
Well little Cheota (pronounced KEY-OTA) asked what his name ment. She just "Black people's names ussualy aren't in here, sorry".
That was my childhood.

That depends. Some black-americans have ghetto names, some black people have meaningful names, and some black people just have plain out normal names. Same goes for white people. Not every white person has a meaningful name either so don't make it sound like we are the incompete ones.

"so don't make it sound like we are the incompete ones. "
SYNTAX ERROR
Aquanetta
Oranjelo (pronounced orr-AHHN-jelo) - from "orange jello"
Lemonjelo (pronounced lee-MAHHN-jelo) - from "lemon jello"
The problem is in ghetto naming since the mother (note the "father" (i.e. sperm donor) is always missing) is dumb as a post and has no cultural or literary senses. "Tuwanna"? Classic nigger name. What's it based on? Well, it "sounds ghetto". We wouldn't want little Tuwanna to actually have a future if she were named Mary or something.
