Ever since i turned twenty in May, i got this feeling that i'm getting "old". On the night of my brother and i's birthday (fraternal twin), he said that we were going to be thirty in just ten years. Now i realize that i'm still very young, but i'm just surprised how "fast" it went. It being life. Looking back on what i've done so far with my life, i realize what little i've accomplished so far.
So has anyone, who is still young, ever felt like this before?
Tell me about it. I am 25. I saw one of my old junior high coaches at the market and thought " Oh man, that's coach so-and-so how cool..... OH SNAPS!!!111!!1!! THAT WAS 13F-N YEARS AGO.....

Anon, I can kind of relate. I'm on the other side of 30 now so I can tell you, yes the next 10 years do go by fast. Faster than the previous 20 really, since now you'll be working every day and have responsibilities and shit. Your friends start drifting away due to work and marriage.
The two things that really fucked up my 20's (besides my general failure) were credit cards and internets. CC debt can be crippling, so hopefully you've figured this out by now or it might be too late already. And then there's internet addiction (I didn't even have *chan back then) which takes any time you could be actually living your life. Spending hours a day on MMORPGS and chan boards will make your life fly by because you won't even remember what you just did all day.
This is why I like high school girls. I keep getting older, they stay the same age.

So, it's started eh? Look: I'm 40 years old. Turned 40 on june 28th. And I realized that I had crossed the 50% mark. That means that more than 50% of my life is already behind me. AND IT WAS TOO DAMN SHORT!!!
Now, I can still do everything I could when I was 20, except for one (AND NO, GODDAMNED, THAT AINT IT ^_^): it's becoming harder for me to study. I've noticed that it takes longer to remember things. Physically I'm still O.K.
So here's my tip. Study what you want to study. Do it now. You got until you're about 35. After that, you'll loose interest in study. Also: make money! Lot's of it and do it fast. And don't get married! Marriage is your hormones speaking. Marriage is 3 months of fun, followed by 30 years of hell. If you get married and have kids, your live is over! Your kids will become the sole reason for your existence, with a 50% chance of a failed marriage, so fuck that. I never got married and pity each of my friends who did.
If you want to travel and stuff, there's time enough for that. As long as you keep your body in shape. And again: you need money. Money is what makes your dreams come true.
Physically you can do most thing well into your 60's. When you approach 70 though, you're rapidly becoming ripe for the old folks home. And then it's time to get married. ^_^
And that's my advice. Do with it what you like.

also if you don't get married remember not to have kids anyway (because that defeats the whole purpose of not getting married), unless you can skip town and disappear like a bastard

We're all going to die so it is better to take a distanced apathetic attitude towards life. If something looks worth doing but an emotion is holding you back, try it anyway. Only the things you do which have permanence matter, like helping this civilisation get off earth before the sun boils off the oceans in 800000000 years time.

Fuck it, I'm taking up Japanese studies again before it's too late. I'm not one of those Wapanese cunts, I just realise how shit things are over here, and how different things look over there. Heck, it's probably shit over there as well, but it's worth seeing anyway. Those cool houses and bridges...
I do fuck all every day. Dropped out of college coz I'm a social retard, can't get a job coz I'm a social retard... 18 in January. No way out... lulz.
kp@bungie.org doesnt like you. Old people smell funny. Also, right lane must merge right.

I'm in the same boat as >>3. Although I figured I'd have my life together by this age and it's taking way too damn long. The year's go by so rapidly and yet not enough changes.
Imma gettin old too quickly. Wait, does this mean I have to start dating 25+ year old chicks now?!

I for one am glad to be 21. As a 15 year old I was fucked up and everyone the same age around me aswell. If I had just one ounce of my current logic back then my life would have gone a lot more smoothly. I'd deal with louts, bullies and bitches correctly, not let mourning affect my performance in college, not act like a total faggot and not do many stupid stupid things.
