Feeling old at 20.....

Name: Anonymous 2007-07-21 21:27 ID:NBZApXX7

Ever since i turned twenty in May, i got this feeling that i'm getting "old". On the night of my brother and i's birthday (fraternal twin), he said that we were going to be thirty in just ten years. Now i realize that i'm still very young, but i'm just surprised how "fast" it went. It being life. Looking back on what i've done so far with my life, i realize what little i've accomplished so far.

So has anyone, who is still young, ever felt like this before?

So, it's started eh? Look: I'm 40 years old. Turned 40 on june 28th. And I realized that I had crossed the 50% mark. That means that more than 50% of my life is already behind me. AND IT WAS TOO DAMN SHORT!!!

Now, I can still do everything I could when I was 20, except for one  (AND NO, GODDAMNED, THAT AINT IT ^_^): it's becoming harder for me to study. I've noticed that it takes longer to remember things. Physically I'm still O.K.

So here's my tip. Study what you want to study. Do it now. You got until you're about 35. After that, you'll loose interest in study. Also: make money! Lot's of it and do it fast. And don't get married! Marriage is your hormones speaking. Marriage is 3 months of fun, followed by 30 years of hell. If you get married and have kids, your live is over! Your kids will become the sole reason for your existence, with a 50% chance of a failed marriage, so fuck that. I never got married and pity each of my friends who did.

If you want to travel and stuff, there's time enough for that. As long as you keep your body in shape. And again: you need money. Money is what makes your dreams come true.

Physically you can do most thing well into your 60's. When you approach 70 though, you're rapidly becoming ripe for the old folks home. And then it's time to get married. ^_^

And that's my advice. Do with it what you like.
