Some believe that if one were to travel back in time and change something, you either spontaneously enter an alternate reality, or spontaneously create one - thus solving the kill your own grandfather thing. Let's assume the former is true, and there are already infinite alternate realities. What if in one of them female humans had razor sharp teeth in their vaginas, and reproduced by biting off our balls? Do you think civilization would have progressed differently?
