Intelligence in males = disadvantage?

Although intelligence clearly has a demonstrable advantage in business (and for survival in general), intelligence in males has shown, by personal experience , to be a considerable disadvantage while seeking a mate. I am curious if this is indeed a universal truth, or merely a regional phenomenon?

I found a study performed by the Social Sciences department at the University of Bristol, which suggests a statistical 35% decrease in the likelihood of mating for each positive deviation increase in intelligence (16 IQ points). Thus in my case, this would reflect a 192.5% chance that I will never find a mate. It appears that in general, most women prefer men who are both dumb, and brutish.

This trend is probably instinctive, rooted deeply in an ancient evolutionary survival advantage; for if you mate with a strong brutish man, you will produce strong brutish offspring, those better able to survive. Logically, even today, this still makes evolutionary sense, for on the playground, as well as in adult life, the strong and ruthless are always in charge, and thus command majority control over all human wealth and resources. One never hears reports of dumb brutish kids (bullies) being picked on, or domineered by nerds!

So what is the general consensus out there? Is there really little hope for intelligent men?

hey OP, that's nonsense.  It takes brains to figure out how to trick sluts out of their panties - most of the dumb guys do what every other moron has been socially conditioned to do, which is empty their pockets and kiss ass and waste countless hours and hours trying to get laid.  Smart guys know to not waste time chasing girls that think their pussy is made of gold.  And these little teen-whores always end up looking like something my cat puked up by the age of 25, so you don't want to waste your time and effort anyways on most of them.

Most of the 'bullies' are that way because their parents are abusive or neglectful or something like that.  You should feel sorry for them, because they almost always end up in a real bad place by the time they hit 30, like selling mortgages or insurance or working in some shit-hole factory putting bolt-A into nut-B all fucking day long, or maybe something real fun like roofing or construction labour.  I am 32, and I've seen this first-hand in all the 'tuff guy' losers that I've happened to run into since I left highschool. 

The only people I've seen from my HS that have something to live for are the guys that went to school to learn, not socialize.  And what's even funnier is that the tuff guys working shit jobs always always always have kids by this age, with an ungrateful pig of a woman at home who spends every last hard-earned cent, whereas the few people with brains have things like paid-for houses and cars and a booty-call list of easy sluts that know to leave immediately once you shoot your wad in their face.

The reason that study your talking about says what it does is because SMART people actually end up having something called a CAREER, which means not too much spare time to have a committed relationship.  Smart people have other aspirations beyond following the social conditioning that says you have to get married and have kids asap.  Doesn't mean you won't get laid by random sluts.  Trust me, you never ever want to have a 'girlfriend', or at least you don't want one for longer than it takes you to ejaculate in her mouth.

Just keep your head down in school, it'll be over soon enough and then none of the social bullshit will matter anyways.  The next time you see any 'tuff guys' or 'dumb guys' will be when they're waxing your car or shining your shoes or serving your big-mac, or maybe working on your roof in 110 degree heat while you sip a drink and laugh from a nice chair in the shade.
