Recently I've been hearing the term "Funken Wagnall Education" being used as an insult. And I was wondering just what the hell is a funken wagnall education?

I think they published a bunch of encyclopedias and shit. Someone who's self-taught from books and so might think they're smart, but are misled/deficient in certain areas?
