Imagine a man sitting in a chair, with all his limbs tied up, apart from his left hand, which is holding a gun aimed at his forehead. You are standing in front of him, and as you advance towards him, it becomes obvious that the man is absolutely terrified of you. You ask him whether or not he wants to die. He says yes. Then you proceed to place your index finger on the man's index finger which is on the trigger. You know that if you press the man's finger, the gun will go off and instantly kill him.
The man says: "You can either kill me, or not. The choice is yours. However, even though I want to die, I pray you won't do that."
For a moment you think. Then, you gently press the man's index finger, which pulls the trigger.
He dies.
Forgetting the concept of assisted suicide, did you just murder him, or did he commit a suicide?
