If a woman withdraws consent during sex

Does that make it rape?

That is the discussion topic in my CJ class this week... and every girl is saying "yes."

I said that there are certain points during intercourse where I would consider it unreasonable to expect a man to stop.

One girl remarked that men are physically and mentally capable of stopping at any time during intercourse.

I said that might be true, but I still question just how immediately a man would have to stop before it was "rape" exactly. One second? One minute? At what point would it be rape? How do you gauge what is reasonable here with such an absolute approach to the issue?

The girl replied that my insinuation that men cannot stop "immediately" at any time during intercourse is degrading towards men.

Personally, I find it far more degrading of women for one to insinuate that if consent is withdrawn during intercourse, and a man does not stop "immediately," it is analogous to rape or even forcible rape. LOL

So, my question to you is... do you think that a man can "immediately" stop during ANY point in intercourse? Do you believe this is physically, or reasonably, possible? Do you think that for a man not to stop is rape? I'm interested in hearing the male perspective on this... since all the tools in my class are agreeing with the girls.

If she withdrew consent during sex, it's likely you're not pleasing her.  Quit trying to please yourself..  if you don't care about pleasing her, why have sex when you can just fap and have the same result?
