Do you think marriage is an archaic tradition that will eventually be phased out? What do you guys think? I think people should just be free individuals. If two people are devoted to each other then they will be no matter what. If one of the people in the relationship is the type to cheat, and the other person doesn't like it, they should just break up. All this legal commitment stuff just unnecessarily complicates things.

I like the idea of marriage because I am a softie kind of guy who wants to be devoted and be devoted, and I believe that even non-religious societies are better off with the idea, regarding long term stability and disease. Besides, whether you call it marriage or not, most people find themselves living the married life at some point, and the government will even call it common-law marriage even if you don't call it that.
I don't need the ceremony so much though, but if the chick wants it, OK then.
