I don't know, I learn about it ages ago(slashdot I think) but I didn't know how to get further then the front page. For like a year or something I'd come to 4chan, get as far as the front page and then leave. I didn't know how to get in, then i one day scrolled down the sidebar and found the "I agree link" or waddeva. Finally I got the sidebar for the boards and from there everything has been a breeze.
