it's sad to watch a beautiful field behind your house that was a home for bunnies, deer, birds, and other wildlife be replaced by a church, beauty school, and construction equipment provider

Hmmm.... Not too bad, but nothing to brag about. My Runescape bank is better. :P http://img504.imageshack.us/img504/5805/runescapebanknl6.png
Although I only have 259k cash, note that I have 200k feathers (~5.5 gp each), 425 dragon bones (1500 gp each), and 91.4k iron arrows (25 gp each), any of which I could sell for a quick and easy profit (not to mention my armor and other useful items, but I wouldn't sell them). I also have lots of herbs, seeds, and etc which aren't pictured either but add up to a lot of money.

The PvP is quite fun actually. It's also rewarding, unlike WoW. When you kill someone in the designated PvP zone in Runescape, YOU GET TO KEEP THEIR ITEMS.

WoW is for people too afraid to risk their epic loot in PvP.

yep. thats why it is popular. loosing everything, 2hr corpseruns and all that jazz are outdated and is for a small fraction of the playerbase.

There are no "corpse runs" in Runescape. When you die in RS, you simply respawn in a certain town... Without your loot, of course. However, it doesn't take as long to get high-grade items and end-game raids don't take hours and hours so it's not that big of a deal. There's no corpse-camping in RS. Switching between servers takes only half a minute and is free, unlike WoW. In WoW, on a PvP server, you can be killed anywhere, anytime. In Runescape, there is a selected PvP area and that's the only place where people can fight each other (aside from Castle Wars, the Duel Arena, player-owned houses, and etc... but it's the only area where fighting another player is dangerous). This means that if a player doesn't want to risk their items, they don't have to. Players can only have 2 main trade skills at any given time in WoW, whereas Runescape allows for players to level up anything and everything whenever they want, with no restrictions. I don't see how WoW is better aside from its obviously superior graphics. And yes, I have played both for quite a while.
