Why do they put light fixtures in houses that blind people build?  How the fuck can they tell if they are on?!

The blind (and by the way the blind prefer than the word be pronounced blind, to rhyme with pinned) can hear the light.  The light bounces off objects and makes light echoes, so the blind are like owls.

Light echoes, eh? Huh, so bouncing photons can actually produce a relatively audible sound? I'm surprised. Never though that could happen. I'd like to read into more of this. So, where'd you heard of "light echoes?" It's peaked my interest, but I want to suppress what's left of my skepticism. You mind passing over a few links? Google is being a bit unproductive.
