My dad bought cookies from a loli today

So I'm home from college this weekend, and my dad brings home these cookies he bought from a girl scout. They're those peanut butter cookies that I'm pretty sure are made specifically for girl scouts everywhere. She also gave him a little card with her name written on it; I can tell from looking at it that she can't be in any more than the first grade. It's adorable, how her signature (in print) starts to rise a little bit to the right, and the letters are uneven from not being used to using a pencil just yet, but I could still make out the shapes naming her "Katie". It was simply adorable.

So anyway, I'm eating these cookies and looking at this card, and I'm overcome. I couldn't take it anymore. I got in the car and drove as fast as I could to the mall. I look around quickly for a few minutes, and then I spot her in her cute little uniform and pigtails standing near the one exit. I stick my hand into my pocket in anticipation, and approach. And then BAM, I buy four boxes. Ohho it's so sweet, I have them all to myself. She smiled wide and took the money, very professional-like. I thought to myself that I'd like to raise a girl like that some day, thanked her, and drove back home for the feast.

The reason kids sell them, as opposed to adults is that it's harder to turn down a kid, for fear you might make them cry or something. They use this as a strategy to sell more cookies. It's all a big con.

But I'd rather buy from them than from those idiots with the plastic bins full of candy bars that harass you at the gas station.
