The past year of my life happened to piss me off quite a bit.

I would kill myself but I tried 3 times before and it didn't work, im convinced I cant die.

And the expression is pointing fingers, not poking, you would have been better off coming up with an entirely new expression of your own rather than butchering such an old existing one.
