I tried Second Life, but it was piss slow (the client performance), and everybody and everything was about making money money money, nobody even cared to play or chat.

There is no "play" in games like that, except if you join a special elite roleplay guild or something. I bet a million bucks there's a Vampire the Masquerade guild in Second Life somewhere.
