I've actually tried saying that to some random girls on the street (when I was just fucking around with different pickup lines.) Out of 5 or 6 girls I talked to, none of them slapped or spit at me. Like half just turned the other way and walked away. There was one group of soriety chicks who said something like "you really want to, little boy?" The rest were like "Get the fuck away!"
For something less provocative, try going up and saying "Hey hottie, wanna kiss?" On the street or in a regular public place of course, not at a bar.
