Why are there such heated arguments on this board? The vast majority of people post as Anonymous, so whether they post something useful, insightful, funny, or totally bigoted, they do it knowing that they won't be held accountable (or given any credit) for their comments under their real name and identity. Arguments, are pretty much two people (assuming there's even that many) arguing to defend the reputation and opinions of someone who literally does not exist, and has no reputation, only a composite of everybody's reputations and everybody's opinions, making him/her totally unknown, being everybody.

under an anonymous system, the value of comments are not affected by the reputation of the poster. you do not have a chance to have a preconceived opinion against an anonymous poster. therefore you will judge the poster by the quality of their individual posts and not because of their reputation.

It's 10:00pm, I have a cold, my lips are all dried up and sorta hurt, I can barely see the screen, I skimmed through what you put, and when I got to the "someone who literally does not exsit" part, you lost me completely. I mean, that part just totally threw me, I have no idea what you meant by that. I'm pretty sure it makes sense. But I just can't make any sense of it at all... I even stopped to read it again, and still, I'm so confused. If what you mean is why the fuck does anybody argue here, let alone when most people are under the name "Anonymous", then I have no fucking idea. And I agree with what you at least implied there about it being retarded.
