good/evil?

somedays i wake up and want to end the world, other days I feel as though i empathize for all those around me. on the dark days i hurt people just to see their pain. on the good days i almost cry recalling the things i have done. i can never stay one way or the other.

I do not believe that mankind can be good or evil. what drives us to bring happiness or sorrow? Is it chemical? nurture?

also would erasing ones memorys wipe a clean slate for your personality?

Chemical. Good and Evil are just expressions.

Considering memory: yes, in the sense that memories and experiences form the persona, though there hasn't been a really successful way of erasing memories save for lobotomies and .50 caliber aspirin.

what about sealing the memorys, like the triggers use through hypnosis IE "when i clap you will bark like a dog"

could it be "you will not remember your past from 11-18 when i count to 3"

Hypnosis doesn't work on everybody, and forgetting that large a time span in memory is assuredly impossible. You'd have your life based on the previous and latter experiences surrounding the memory gap, and would just be confused as to where it went. Sealing the memory could only work with altering the portion of the brain, probably through surgery or trauma (shocks, chemicals, etc), and majority of the time it'd be permanent.
