First girlfriend dumped me two years ago for another guy. It crushed me... but she still wanted to talk to me and keep in touch, but it was very hurtful. She'd log off whenever her newbie boyfriend came through the door "I have to go now" at the drop of a hat. After a while, I actively avoided talking to her. No goodbyes... I switched my AIM address, switched the e-mail, moved, cut off the livejournal... really all just for her. Two years pass... things drift along. I never really got over it.
