Why cant people take things more seriously?

so we're playing a casual game of baseball, and I tell people that we need a 1/4 mile pregame jog, but they dont want to and they tell me im gay for going on one by myself. Then later, i go 100% on every play, no matter the odds, and they tell me to calm down. Why can't you strive to be your best in everything, give 110% and take everything seriously?

Giving 110% means that you're 10% more disappointed when it doesn't work than you have to be.

Solution: Call yourself a pro athlete, or someone who'd like to be. Then people might stop caring if you act like you enjoy what you do and give it your best shot.

Or, just say something like "Hey guys I'm going for a run before the game, you coming?" When they say nah, say "Alright, enjoy ur obesity" or something else funny to make light of the situation. YOU can take something seriously while making fun of everyone else at the same time. I love doing that.

It doesn't really matter how they act. You'll reap the rewards for your hard work. They won't reap anything if they aren't putting anything in.

It's like how obesity used to piss me off, when I realised that they're only going to die anyways, after a miserable and short life of immobility, all completely voluntary. Then it became a subject of lulz. Like how them being much worse players than you will also be a subject of lulz.
