Hello everyone.
Climate change is threatning our planet, species, and those living in the third world. By the end of this century, we could see a global water rise from 7-15 metres. This is enough to flood places like Bangladesh, London, New York and Sydney.

Time is running out

If we don't act now, it will be too late. Four hundred million people will starve to death due to a lack of rainfall in Africa. Millions will die due to flooding and increased bad weather, like freak storms which could see a tenfold rise.

Go to Ecopetition.org, a new website which is hosting a petition to stop climate change. We must defend the planet, or the planet will defend itself. You don't need to give any very-personal details, and are not forced to donate or join anything, except the rapidly growing list of petition signatures.

I have posted this message on several forums. I'm going to keep a record of who signs the petition, and from which forum they clicked the link from. The forum which generates the most petition signatures will be awarded £300 ($580). (Hopefully this is an incentive to locking this thread).

Your petition helps nothing, we cannot fix what we have done. When we run out of Oil, the planet will stop working the way it does. No more computers, plastics, car engines, and a million other petrochemical based industries will die. This will collapse the stock market completely, and we will have no electricity because the materials to maintain a modern powergrid also depend on petrochemicals.

Due to the lack of resources left, global warming won't happen. Earth will have enough industrial downtime after that for it not to matter anymore.

you're a moron. we'll never completely run out of oil, we'll just run out of the amount it takes to make it profitable and avalible fuel source. there will still be enough petrolium for things like plastics and medicine, it just wont run our cars. It's not like we're gonna drill till we find the last patch and suck every drop out of it, it'll just be more expensive than comapnies will want to use for fuel.
