Why do all fast food Cokes taste different?

Anyone notice that Wendy's Coke tastes like absolute crap? It has a horrible after taste and seriously takes like shit. Why did they not stick with Pepsi?


McDonalds Coke is good, but it tastes like they add 3x as much sugar to the mix as any others

Subways coke tastes like normal bottled coke.

Sometimes employees will put too much syrup in, and it will taste more like cherry coke, and sometimes they won't put enough in, and it'll taste watered down and stuff.


Also, I beleive they add their own suger/salt to the drink as well, although i'm not sure. Anyway it's basically dependant on the competence of the workers and the quality of the machines they're using.
