will this be strange

there are like no kids or young people in my area except for two boys down the street who are maybe 10 or 11 years old. would it be weird for me to befriend them? god knows anything can be misconstrued as inappropriate when it involves children. i'm 20, but hell, it'd be good just to have anyone, a retard or alien to kick a ball around with or something.

god, the suburbs suck. i'm bored enough that i am considering hanging with kids.
