What should I do.

I am pretty smart and I'm not a lamer or an asshole, though I make silly mistakes and say stupid things occasionally I don't go out of my way to piss people off or act annoying. My problem is that I lack any social skills whatsoever beyond business. I enjoy philosophy, but people who actively try to strike up conversations about philosophy are seen as weirdoes, so I keep it to myself. I don't really care about anything else so I can't strike up conversations.

What do people talk about and why do you give a fuck about stupid bullshit like some gay story about some girl who wore a ring on each finger or whatever? Also when people talk about something that is actually mildly important, why do the illogically ramble on for a while instead of just going straight tothe point and when they eventually come to a point why do they reiterate that point over and over as if it is some sort of triumph worth savouring? I find this really annoying when I actually talk to someone about something. When I feel the need to tell someone something I talk very briefly, communicate my message and ignore their re-iteration, there is then an awkward silence because I am too annoyed to respond.

How do I talk about stuff and get people to talk about things which are not pointless so I can like have loads of friends and stuff like everyone else?

Just don't talk to people.
Problem solved.
Really, why the fuck would you want to in the first place, are you dumb?

most people have a tendency to think with their mouths rather than with their heads.  whereas people like you and me can work out what we want to say in our heads, and then say it.

as a result, most 'communication' is a form of verbal telepathy -- people's thoughts get broadcast and picked up on by others, who can either intergrate these thought streams into their own, or override them with their own.  this process is continuous and often only ends when a person is alone.  just think of humanity as a hive-mind made of idiots, and any 'social skills' you need will come to you naturally.
