how old are you and how often do you go for fine dining (ie places where the cheapest thing is $30)?
as a 20 year old student i hardly go, unless i'm having lunch with my mother. i probably eat out at fancy places with friends once or twice a year..

20 years old, and never. You can usually get better tasting food from cheaper places for half the price.

Only been one time and that was Senior prom. I had a $30 steak that was pretty damned small.
You know on the cooking channel when they come out with these super fancy meals that look like they would leave you hungry? Same thing. I was impressed at how little I got for how much I spent.

Lol. I haven't seen anything over 30 dollars on a menu. I'd cuss out the owner or manager of the place if I did. However I have totalled over 60 for 2 people's dinners. 20 year old student rich? Lol... you need a better paying job.

that's probably true in a lot of cases. expensive places are expensive because the chairs or whatever. it's not really about food

posh places give small servings because rich people apparently don't need to eat as much to feel satisfied. thats just one possible explanation>>2
I actually wasn't but whatever. I can't say I've experienced "fine dining" anywhere other than my stupid prom. We went to this ritsy place, I guess the food wasn't that bad.
