From my experiences and from what my girlfriends tell me about this situation, it just means that, for the most part, they don't want their family to know that they are addicted to sex.

The family knows that the gf is active due to the boyfriend, but usually retaliation towards family means that they are raging, sexually inside.

Like one girlfriend told me, that when she gets angry at her parents/family, she just wants to run to her apartment and have a 3some, because she gets so worked up.

Or that her partner isn't satisfying her.

I'm just going to start asking them out, don't give a shit what happens.  There's this girl who I sort of like because we have alot of the same interests, but I didn't pursue anything because I told myself she didn't look attractive enough.  Now I don't care, I'm just going to do what feels alright.  If it doesn't pan out there, I'm heading on to try something else.
