I was just posting on 4chan and a thought crossed my mind: is 4chan a waste of time? I mean I suddenly started to think of other things I could be doing with myself (besides touching and stroking myself) and I got scared at the idea that 4chan could be a waste of time :(

it is a waste of time, it does nothing to help you live, it encourages you to be lazy and avoid the outside world, doesnt help you get a job so you can feed yourself when your parents are long gone.
neither does any form of entertainment. But... entertainment is good. Just think of the comedy network's slogan, when thinking of 4chan, "time well wasted".

There is no "waste" of time, we're all dying we arent coming back and there is no god (BUT WHERE IS HE NOW AMIRITE?!.) No matter what you do and no matter how if helps others people will forget as humans are basicaly thankless ingrates *gear anybody coo-ing over newtons accomplishments?). If you want to do something other then 4chan do it because YOU want to, not because you feel you "have" too; You're only spinning this disc once, make it count.

but i'd extend it. basically everything is waste. maybe not "waste", but its simply futile. doesn't matter if you work 12 hours a day and don't enjoy your life, spend your life on 4chan having fun, or taking drugs all day. you can have fun in life or not. "in the end it doesn't even matter". in fact, it's just fucking true. that doesn't mean life is bad, it's just there. have fun and enjoy it, or not. it's your decision.
