group situations.

in a group situation, my voice inevitably gets drowned out. i get on fine when conversing 1 on 1, but with groups i'm the one smiling and nodding while others talk and gesture at 100mph. is there such thing as conversation hogging, or do i just need to interrupt and take control? that seems rude though.

what you need to do is step on the heads of those even LESS confident, that'll make you look AWESOME to groups

in situations like yours, your best bet is to just find someone else in your position (drowned out) and talk with him/her.
