Age Difference

I know there's lots of joking around here about lolis and pedos and whatnot, but, seriously, what is the biggest acceptable age difference?  Lately, I've found myself attracted to my friend's sister.  Thing is, I'm 24 and she's 18 (freshman in college).  I feel kinda bad about it.  I feel dirty just for thinking she's cute.  And I'm not all "zOMG she's teh hawt I wanna sex0rz her," I really like this girl.  Should I feel bad about it?  Should I try to persue something with her, or just get over it?  Would my freind get mad at me for going after her little sister?

Ratio is more important than difference -- as you get older, a bigger difference is acceptible.  Someone 45 going out with someone 35 is equivalent to someone 25 going out with someone 20, or something like that.  Which is perfectly reasonable.

I don't know how your friend will react because I don't know your friend.  You might want to wait a bit and get to know the sister better.  But you might want to start by trying to be just friends with the sister -- while going from bf/gf to "just friends" can be disastrous, if you START as "just friends" things can escalate from there.  Takes patience though, my reference on this is my parents, and Mom didn't accept until about the fifth time Dad proposed (after they'd known each other about 20 years).  If you're after quick nookie, ignore everything I have to say.

Actually, you might want to ignore what I have to say anyway since I've never been on a date.
