Why do we look after Isreal so much?

We could literally get in a huge war because we want to protect this country but why is it so important to protect them? They are no where close to saints. Palestinians (sp?) have killed many Jews but seems like the Jews are killing them too. They aren't all innnocent. So why is it so important to protect them? Accoring to the hardcore christians they are going to hell anyway.

Because having an ally in the middle east from which we could launch military operations in a large war with islamic countries would be priceless. And having Isreal right there in the middle of every country with oil, and us fully backing up Isreal, kind of keeps the oil governments in line and makes them think twice before they do anything stupid. Plus, if there IS a large western/islamic war, isreal would get hardest hit while we could just send in planes and bombings and get off fairly clean. All the islamic countries are trying to develop missiles that can reach Isreal, and forget about making ones that can reach the U.S. Pretty sweet deal for us, really.

Still pretty stupid and not worth it in my opinion though.

The USA has the highest population of jewden in the world. Israel also develops alot of weapons the US military uses (EX: Desert Eagle) and they can TEST these weapons on REAL targets without getting a bunch of liberal-hippie-queer-douschbag-protesters starting shit.
I thinks the jews have a right to defend their country from a people who dont want to integrate into the society and want to sucide bomb buildings and start shit.
