I don't have a long post for this, but I've so impressed by Trey Parker and Matt Stone's ability to take a curse heavy shock humor show and keep it alive by changing it to address issues of the time through some hillarious sattire.
South Park is brilliant.

I like one thing about South Park. The way something happenes, the people get all freaked out and run around killing each other. This is funny because it's true. A crowd can become a mob in a heartbeat. It's part of our human nature. We get scared.
The satirical content gets about a four on a scale of one to ten. The driving force is the running joke about human nature. The Simpsons is better satire. Much more class.

Maybe back in 94, the simpson's were satire, but not now. Southpark does a brilliant job in keeping up with current topics.
I saw a show on South Park that aid each epsiode takes 5 days to make (from start to finish) where as simpson's takes 8 months.
That's why japan loves it cause japan is obsessed with making things of smaller size and more efficient then something of bigger size

You know, anyone can come up with the jokes in South Park. Give a group of thirteen year olds a budget to make a 2D show of South Park quality and you'll get very similar humor. The only reason South Park is a notable satire is they're the ones actually doing it, not just thinking about jokes or telling them to friends. The humor itself isn't all that unique or brilliant.
