Oookay, Anonymous will take your post seriously and reply:
What are your positions on videogame violence?
It's not the cleanest of things, but we can't censor it. Videogames, save for regional shit from console companies, are a free market, and thus they are regulated by consumers. People bitch that they're making violent videogames, but the truth is they do it because they sell. And it's not like they're not properly rated. Furthermore, violence is not a particular feature of videogames. It existed long before games, and still does outside them. Movies, and even books exhibit it, but only games seem to be heavily criticized for it, because the ones who criticize games usually come from older generations who don't like games, but they like movies and books.
Even so, I admit violence is not necessarily a good thing, and is not necessarily more fun. It's lame to see how Americans are so hypocritical about it: a couple of tits is a major offense, gets products retired and companies sued, while somebody's head being chopped and rolling on the floor is perfectly fine. This applies in most of America (as in "the continent") for anything, not just videogames. Puritans make me sick to my stomach.
Do you think it has influenced your personality or behavior in any way?
I don't play games with unnecessary violence because I don't feel like it, but the violence I saw in games and elsewhere couldn't change my personality, although it did help to prevent me from making ridiculous faces or getting scared when I see it anywhere.
Can you think of an event in your life where videogames played a major role in something you did bad (or good)?
Xenogears story is the best I've seen in any games, books, movies, or series, and it touches subjects like religion or human nature. It helped me polish, refine, and deepen my vision on the Universe and humanity, and I'm grateful for it.
Finally, Do you think videogame companies should be held liable for the violent actions you(gamers) do? If not, who should be?
No, that's retarded. For kids who don't even know what they do (younger than 7 years maybe), parents, although it shouldn't be a full liability. For kids 8 or older, I posted my motto in
>>12 . Fuck underage liability laws; in fact, I say fuck most liability laws.
