People in Japan Right now

are most 4channers living in america? are there any users living in Japan

I think most 4channers are European and American. That Japs have no reason to come here, with 2chan being 1000 times better and clean of jack-asses.

2chan is full of jackasses, much worse than here, but you can't understand their posts.

I don't even think they can access the site, .jp domains are blocked.  Maybe that's only for posting though?

a little off topic, but are korean [.kr] domains still blocked too?  i'm planning on moving there soon and would still like to be able to post

Let me answer some of your questions:

We can access /b/ and all of World4Chan.  I don't know how to get "exempt" from the ban on the other boards, besides using a proxy which I don't like to do.  Do you think Moot would unblock my IP if I emailed him?  What do I say?  "Hi, this is anonymous-san from Japan, please unblock my IP kthxbye"??

I don't know about Korea, but as the rest of the world is unblocked I have a feeling Korea is unblocked as well.  NIDAAA~!

As a frequent user of 2ch and Futaba (2ch more than Futaba) I can say that there are far fewer flaming posts when you think about the massive amount of people using the board at any given time.  There are also A LOT FEWER TRIPFAGS which I think GREATLY adds to the quality of the boards.  Japanese people acutally understand the concept of "only using a tripcode when your identity is relative to the conversation."  But then again, I love /b/ too.  The respective atmospheres of /b/, ニュー速VIP, and 二次元 are each very different.

I'm pretty sure it doesn't change, but I heard once there was some sort of deep block on Japanese IPs that couldn't be lifted easily... I dunno, I don't really know that much about IPs and banning and stuff.  I'll see if I can get Moot to listen to me, I've really been missing /f/ lately...
