I hate many things, but there is one thing I hate above all else: Wapanese. Even Goths are better than Wapanese and that is saying a lot (no offense to anyone who actually is a Goth, you are better than the Wapanese at least). Even those North Koreans who think Kim Jong-Il is so great don't irritate me as much as Wapanese.
This board and many others are filled with people who idolize Japan as though it were a holy place (and of course they have an analog to the hajj). They download torrents of Japanese commercials! They watch Japanese television and go on about great it is that Japan has the most advanced technology in the world (don't you just want to smack them with a Unabomber's Manifesto?)
However, they gloss over the real Japan, the Japan where women and foreigners are treated terribly and hyperreality engulfs all. Japan, as pointed out in another thread, is the most artificial culture in existance. Wapanese, for some reason, seem ashamed of our "primitive" culture where things are still real.
In short, Wapanese are fooling themselves and living in inauthenticity. If they are so ashamed of US culture (I don't really blame them), they should revolt against it, not look for another culture to obsess on.

For all wapanese, i beg you all to stop being wapanese, your only making a fool out of yourselves. You can have interest in Japanese products, and anime, but don't make Japanese a part of reality, don't try to tie it in with your philosophy of life, or suggest an indication that JAPAN is superior to all other cultures.
Because Japan, like all other civilizations are flawed, some basic conditions (housing, day to day living, work) are actually worse than it is in America and other Western Countries.
The culture of Japan is even backwards in their way of thinking. But nowadays i can see that with the younger generation growing and refusing to be like their parents, also the older generation dissapearing, the culture is changing to a hopefully more international, and livable place for foreigners, where the traditional greetings/way of speaking, and the 'japanese way' dissolve and become unnesessary.
So idiolizing japan, thinking of it as a Utopia, the idea culture, is a big mistake, because in reality it is not. And so whenever a wapanese introduce their throughts into reality (Ie. going to japan , learning Japanese, interacting with anything that is genuine japanese) it hits them like a brick
Everything all of a sudden contradicts with those baseless, useless ideas that they've harbored over the years.
Not only do you feel like a complete idiot once you awake form your dream, you feel ashamed of yourself for being so naive and bringing embarassement to other people (especially the Japanese). You will feel so ashamed that you will want to hide and never see those people that you unleashed your wapaneseness onto. You'll stand there and say, 'what the fuck am i doing'.
You'll probably never want to look at anything Japanese again since it would remind you of the horror of the time when you awoke from that nonsense.
the longer you are wapanese the more explosive and worse the awakening will be. And i know this because i used to be one, but thank god it lasted only a short time. I could see how more ashamed and embarrsement of myself I would be if i just kept on going.
being wapanese is like having a problem like obsessive-compulsive or some shit like that. I watch Anime and read Manga but that doesn't mean I go around Yelling "JAPAN ZOMFG IT SO AWESOME! FUCK YOU WESTERNERS!" I like some of the Japanese stuff, and I'd like to go and experience the culture. But hell I'd like to go to america just as much as well. Waps have something wrong with them, they are best ignored.
I like anime, manga, games, and fap material, and I like Japan as a country and culture just like I like Spain. I'm also interested on learning Japanese. To overall like Japan doesn't make me a wap because I can tell what's good and what's bad from Japan, and I don't go posting KAWAII DESU NE LOL OMG, nor I reject my culture and nationality and try to become Japanese just because anime is kawaii.
