Hey, are there any free audiblebooks I could listen to on mp3 player to learn this language? My father is Croatian so I'm sure if I learn some more of it and we start having actually conversations I will become fluent.

You really don't need Croatian, rather learn something more useful. Our language is spoken by not even 10 millions in three or four non interesting poor countries. If you decide to learn it however it will be hard, it's nothing like English and without proper motivation I doubt you'll ever learn even how to do basic conversation.
Stvarno ne trebaš hrvatski, radije nauči nešto više korisno. Naš jezik se govori među jedva 10 milijuna u tri ili četiri nezanimljive siromašne države. Ako ga ipak odlučiš učiti, bit će teško, nije nimalo poput engleskog i bez prave motivacije sumnjam da ćeš ikada naučiti čak i kako voditi osnovni razgovor.

Ali ja sam učijo hrvatski kroz 10 mjesecaaaa. Ajde, nemoj mi reć da je bilo nekorisno ;_;
OP, good luck in your quest. I gave up on Croatian since I don't plan to live there.
If you are a polyglot, and want to learn new language, go ahead! If not, Croatian doesn't have very many speakers and if you won't be visiting the country, it's useless.
