Studying Chinese

Name: Anonymous 2012-06-24 8:13

I just started studying Chinese two week ago with one five hour  lesson per week, my question is that: what are some good way to expose myself to Chinese everyday? Since five hour a week seem like a very small amount of time to study.

Read/listen to news.
Listen to music (pay attention to lyrics).
Set your desktop wallpaper to rotate through vocab lists or w/e.

Is there a program that can rotate words instead of having to change my wallpaper?

English isn't my native language either so I know how you feel.

They're out there. If you're on Win7 though, it comes with built-in wallpaper rotation (select multiple wallpapers to auto-enable).

Another idea: try reading Chinese Wikipedia every now and then.
