Teach English in Japan without a degree?

Name: Anonymous 2012-05-31 22:09

I'm looking for a life experience. I'm working towards a degree to teach English abroad (not necessarily Japan). Problem is I don't have one yet, I'm 3 1/2 years away.

I'm wondering if I could travel to Japan on a Working Holiday Visa for Canadian citizens.

And use that to teach English in Japan over the summer as a test drive to see if I should continue on this life path as well as bank some cash for school. I heard the only reason you need a degree is to get a work visa in the first place, and this is a one time thing. What do you think, possible?

Im planning on travelling for a bit, that's my goal, this is just part of my means to do that. On to the actual question.
