I tried but failed miserably. I started goig to classes but stopped going after one month. I will try again in the future, but it's very hard imo.

I've got Suomen Mestari 1 (by Sonja Gehring and Sanni Heinzmann), A Grammar Book of Finnish by Leila White and a dictionnary. Which method did you use? And what's your mother tongue?
I'm learning Danish too, so much easier.

My mother tongue is Portuguese and my method was quite simple:
1. Create an account in www.lang-8.com
2. Write many entries
3. Get corrected
The book I used was Fred Karlsson's Finnish: An Essential Grammar.
