You know how you can negate godan verbs with -n or -nu instead of the usual nai?

知る　-　知らない, 知らん, 知らぬ
行く　- 行かない, 行かん, 行かぬ

How does that work with Ichidan verbs? Or do you simply not negate ichidan verbs like that?

食べる, 食べない
忘れる, 忘れない
