I've been focusing mostly on speaking and listening comprehension; hence, I have a very limited character set that I can read. Let's post some o' dem Mandarins.

你好,我是一个学汉语的外国人。我是加拿大人,有天想住在中国里教师英语。我两年前去中国,真喜欢了!

How's my Mandarin? Grammatically correct? Colloquial? Suggestions for improvement?

How have you learnt Mandarin so far? What did you do/use?

www.nciku.com is a good site for looking up words and/or characters. Otherwise, it was old fashioned book reading and classes at my local university.

http://www.archchinese.com/chinese_english_dictionary.html

I use this site for checking up characters because it explains them.

真喜歡doesn't really makes sense. 喜歡 usually indicates your likings towards a subject, not something abstract. I guess it's better to say 真高興 or something, i'm no mandarin expert too. 我是韓國人。我在廣州住了大概2年。

Same guy, if not internet resources then any textbooks or workbooks would also be appreciated.

Besides using 喜欢, how was the rest? I'll remember to use 高興 for abstract concepts in the future.

最近我的难题有关词汇量,也有关“了”和“过”的惯用法。我有基本的了解这两个词,但是还没有掌握了。

It means different things to different people. I believe that technically, Chinese refers to the many different dialects spoken by ethnic Chinese people, the main 3 being Mandarin, Cantonese, and Shanhainese. However, people in mainland China usually mean Mandarin when they say Chinese, and people in Hong Kong probably mean Cantonese.
