In the People's Republic of China, Singapore, and Malaysia, 朝鲜 is used to refer to North Korea and 韩国 is used to refer to South Korea.

In Taiwan, Hong Kong, and Macau, 北韓 is used to refer to North Korea, and 南韓 is used to refer to South Korea.

I work at a (South) Korean school in China and we say/write 韩国.

Don't change these.
