No problem OP.
Basically this is a language learning thread.

More like something in the vein of:
x must be delivered *in three months time* from the moment the contract *became valid*
(the * are the problematic areas)
I need terms which are recognized in the English language, as this is supposed to go on a form for a certain company.

I've been teaching myself Japanese for free using resources on the Internet.
Are you progressing well?
Japanese is a hard language.

Japanese is more logical than English in my opinion. I'm progressing quite well as I'm very interested in learning Japanese. I started out with http://www.humanjapanese.com, it's a fantastic resource for an introduction into Japanese.

Whoops, I meant to add that HumanJapanese isn't free, but it's not very expensive either.
A contract 'becomes valid' the moment it was signed, so in place of *became valid* I'd put *was signed*. *in three months time* should be *within three months*. So your sentence should read "x must be delivered within three months of the moment the contract was signed". You might want to get a second opinion on that, but it sounds right to me.
